Osborne are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our client as a Communications & Engagement officer for 11-month contract. As a key member of the communications team, you will report to the head of the business unit and manage a team of 2. We are looking for a candidate who can deliver on the key strategic objectives which will include the redevelopment of the organisations website. Ideally you will have a regulatory or public sector industry experience.
The ideal candidate must have at least 4-5 years of strong communications experience and demonstrate delivery of strategic goals.
Location: Dublin 2 – Hybrid
Salary: €52,500K
Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5
Duration: 11-month Contract
Responsibilities:
Lead on the implementation of the organisation’s 2021-2024 Communications Strategy
Develop communication plans in order to reach and inform various target groups about this public sector body’s regulatory functions, strategic policy work and organisational achievements.
Provide expert communications advice and guidance to the organisation’s board, the Leadership Team, and other business areas and teams as needed.
Project manage the redevelopment of the organisation’s website, working with the appointed third-party developers.
Prepare and approve content for the organisation’s website, social media accounts, reports, and other publications as necessary.
Plan, organise and attend external public events.
Manage the public sector body’s response to Government queries, and coordinate answers to parliamentary questions, as required.
Organise the design, approval and printing of the organisation’s publications and oversee production with third-party providers.
Participate in board meetings and advisory committee meetings as required.
Participate in the development of business plans, annual reports and other management and organisational reports.
Requirements
Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or other related fields A minimum of 4 years’ work experience in a communications or stakeholder management role
Experience of working at Board and senior management level
Experience of planning and organising events/consultations etc.,
Experience in campaign and communications planning and execution, and crisis communications management.
Have exceptional written communication skills with experience writing for a wide variety of media (e.g., reports, websites, newsletters, social media, printed publications, press releases, marketing materials, briefing papers etc.).
Ideally a knowledge of the public sector/regulatory/health and social care environment.
Experience in website redevelopment and developing website content.
Experience in using design software, online survey tools, e-newsletter software.
