Inventory Controller – Dublin 24 – €35-40K – Day shift
Here at Osborne, we are excited to be working with our client, a leading Irish Food Group, in seeking an Inventory Controller to join the fast-paced environment in Dublin 24.
The Package:
Salary – €35-40k
Working hours 8.30-5pm Monday to Friday
23 days annual leave
5 paid sick days
Potential hybrid option once fully trained
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working in a busy inventory control role
Ability to complete tasks quickly and accurately, including the capability to multi-task
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate respectively and effectivelywith internal teams and suppliers
Must have a flexible approach to work, be adaptable to customer’s needs, and be open to change, continuous improvement, and learning
Must be customer focused at all times
Previous experience using inventory control systems
Experience working within a fast paced environment
Experience of using MS Excel
The Role: Stock Control:
Monitor and review minimum stock holdings against average sales analysis
Produce regular slow-moving stock reports, liaising with sales and commercial departments, ensuring that stock is moved through the system
Daily placement of purchase orders by supplier and / or manufacturer
Monitoring and analysing KPI’s to include: Stock availability, Supplier lead times, Stock holding, Stock turnover, Supplier fill rate
Participate in supplier meetings
Provide information to the warehouse team regarding delivery schedule and supplier / haulage company details
Demand Planning:
Reviewing product sales trends to assist the ordering process
Match supply and demand, investigating any variances
Create best before date reports and liaise with the sales team to push slow moving products through the warehouse
Analysis of supplier performance to include:
On time supplier deliveries
Supplier delivery accuracy and Supplier rating system
Follow up on all supplier non-conformances
Minimise stock outs and product write offs, whilst working very closely with warehouse personnel to ensure supplier performance is at the optimal level
Inbound Logistics:
Review inbound supply chain costs and use consolidation to take costs out
Negotiate rates with haulage companies and freight forwarders
Co-ordinate the inbound logistics operations with responsibility to improving supply chain efficiencies and reduce supply chain costs
Monitor sales, seasonal and promotional activities and customer buying trends
