The role of CEO is to lead the organisation and deliver the Chamber’s mission, vision, values, and strategy. As the voice of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown business community, you will be responsible for the continued development and growth of the Chamber.

Responsibilities:
Membership and Events
Manage all membership renewals to ensure retention of a large number of membership renewals annually
Enhance existing membership offering
Drive new membership growth, achieving targets set out by the board
Successfully run a number of key and smaller events throughout the year
Attend networking events
Fundraise for key events. Approach business and individuals to secure fundraising partnerships for these events
Communication
Liaise and communicate with key stakeholders in the region such as county council, Chambers Ireland and local business groups
Manage multiple communication channels through in-person, e-commerce, social media, online and print
Management and communication with corporate members
Lobby and represent on behalf of membership interests
Documentation
Ensure procedures for approving, recording, and filing of certificates of Origin are properly followed.
Develop certificates of Origin as an increased source of Chamber revenue
Approving other official documentation, copying, recording, and filing, of their details
Office Management and Accounts
Oversee the running of the office and payroll
Plan council meetings
Present CEOs update on operations to board at each board meeting
Ensure filing systems and records are kept up to date and in line with GDPR
Invoicing, statements and reminders are all proceed in a timely manner
Bank lodgements, bank reconciliations and credit control
Liaise with accountant re accounting data, analysis and monthly management accounts
Assisting treasurer and deputy treasurer with reports and queries
Requirements:
You will be a self-driven individual with experience at a similar senior level in an organisation where you have been accountable for the strategic direction and operational management of the business.
Strong generalist knowledge of best practice operations across multi-functions (eg.HR, Finance, Corporate Governance, Management)
Demonstrable experience of interacting, communicating, and networking with a wide range of stakeholders (This may include community groups, businesses, local government agencies and departments, politicians and other relevant bodies in the statutory, private, voluntary or community sectors)
An ability to successful run events and obtain strategic partnership fundraising
An ability to lobby and persuades to represent and deliver on member interests
