Credit Controller

Hybrid Role –After training:

  • Salary between €35,000 – 40,000 DOE
  • Great team culture and working environment

Responsibilities of Role:

  • Daily banking/lodgements and cash applications
  • Monthly Bank Reconciliation
  • Processing of Direct Debit files
  • Management of a Key Account Aged Debtors Ledger
  • Ability to forecast payments
  • Evaluation of credit risk and the setup of new accounts in line with the current credit policy
  • Credit checks using online service provider
  • Ability to use our credit insurance interface and understanding of same
  • Allocation of payments on our software
  • Communicating well with the sales and customer support teams
  • Responding to and resolving queries within agreed timelines via email & customer portal
  • Responsible for monitoring EDI transmissions and resolving invoicing queries
  • Escalation of account issues to the Team Leader/Group Credit Manager
  • Collection of payments within the agreed credit terms and limits
  • Daily inbound/outbound calls to ensure prompt payments
  • Follow internal escalation processes for late/non-paying accounts
  • Debtor meetings with Commercial Team to review overdue accounts and unresolved queries
  • Bad debt and write off recommendations
  • Issue of monthly statements
  • Processing of credit notes
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Monthly reporting as required
  • Other adhoc duties and reports as required

Requirements of Role

  • 3 to 4 years in a Credit Control role
  • Customer credit assessment a distinct advantage
  • Ability to prioritise workload and achieve targets
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills is required
  • Self motivated and driven to achieve set targets
  • Professional approach in all aspects of the role and ability to follow through
