Here at Osborne we have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a world leader in international building materials for a 6 month contract. 
The Financial Accountant (maternity cover) will work as part of the procurement accounting team who are responsible for meeting all financial related reporting requirements, timely issue resolution and to provide financial support across the procurement organisation.

Responsibilities:
Monthly management accounts

  • Generate accruals and prepayments
  • Create reconciliations for sales, intercompany, creditors, banks etc.
  • Create and maintain leased assets register
  • Month end journal entries
  • Create monthly management accounts report
  • Prepare monthly expense reports for each budget holder with commentary and variance analysis
  • Running accounts close off procedures
  • Responsible for the bi-monthly payment runs

Tax, Budget, Financial, Statutory, Other

  • Regularly reviewing the accounts assistant work in areas of AP, AR & cash.
  • Submit monthly management, quarterly financial and annual reporting to Group
  • Review and submission of bi-monthly VAT returns and other tax returns as required
  • Assist in annual budgeting process and forecasting
  • Management of audit process both internal and external
  • Ensure and monitor compliance with internal controls
  • Involved with the ERP development to achieve process improvements
  • Ad-hoc projects including general administrative

Requirements:
Education/Experience:

  • A degree level in accounting, business, economics or finance
  • Professional accounting qualification – ACA, ACCA or CIMA examinations
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification or industry experience
  • Commercial/operational experience an advantage
  • Experience of a change environment and process improvement
  • Experience with O365 Dynamics an advantage
