€30-35K – Freight Forwarding Support – East Kildare
Here in Osborne, we are excited to be working with out client, a Kildare based Freight Forwarding company, in seeking a Freight Forwarding Support candidate to join their team. Salary:
€30,000 – 35,000 DOE
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in freight forwarding is highly desirable.
A background in logistics or a related field is strongly preferred.
Experience in procurement is considered a significant advantage.
Proficiency in handling import/export documentation and shipping regulations.
Strong organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Familiarity with logistics software and systems is a plus.
A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the freight forwarding team to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of cargo from origin to destination.
Assist in coordinating shipments, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and requirements.
Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to facilitate the tracking and status updates of shipments.
Handle documentation and paperwork for import and export processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal guidelines.
Contribute to the procurement process, assisting in sourcing cost-effective transportation solutions and negotiating with vendors.
Support logistics operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during the shipping process.
Utilize logistics software and systems to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
