Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in Kildare, specialising in premium food products. With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, they have established themselves as a key player in the market. Osborne are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified Cost Accountant with Manufacturing Experience to join their dynamic finance team.

The Role:

Responsibilities:
 

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for the manufacturing / production department
  • Analyse manufacturing / production costs, variances, and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
  • Support inventory management and control processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial impact of operational decisions
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to optimize profitability and cost efficiency
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across various departments

Qualifications and Requirements:
 

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant with relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment is essential
  • Proven Cost Accountancy background
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey financial information to colleagues at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, formulas, and financial modelling
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Commitment to long-term career development within the company
