€45K – Supply Chain Planner – Kildare

Here in Osborne, we are excited to be working with our client in seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join their Kildare-based team.
The successful candidate will be experienced in freight forwarding and supply chain. They will have a strong work ethic and show real enthusiasm towards the role and willingness to learn on the job

The Package:

  • Competitive salary range: €42,000 – €45,000 DOE
  • Monday to Thursday: 8 am – 4:30 pm, Friday: 8 am – 3:30 pm (Flexibility required and provided)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in freight forwarding and supply chain.
  • Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn on the job.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and senior management in diverse cultural environments.
  • Proficiency in SAP Planning and Procurement.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and scenarios to make informed decisions.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting both hard and soft deadlines.

The Job:
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing the dynamic ERP and supply chain activities, supporting gas and chemical procurement within the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and managing effective supply chain planning for products within the supply chain, ensuring best practices.
  • Analyzing and aligning new order requests with forecasted usage, logging discrepancies for clarification.
  • Conducting regular meetings with customers to review and maintain the health of the supply chain.
  • Managing and reporting supplier performance to optimize procurement services.
  • Leading quarterly management meetings with customers regarding planning and procurement services.
  • Driving monthly financial reconciliation for all TMM services with the customer.
  • Managing and resolving issues related to on-hold or quarantined materials, proposing action plans.
  • Proactively managing non-performing stocking profiles, recommending shipping schedules to maintain minimum stocking levels.
  • Overseeing product transitional planning and ensuring on-time deliveries to offsite warehouses.
  • Driving the forecasting process, highlighting and addressing medium/high-level concerns on a daily basis.
  • Identifying and implementing economic ordering and return criteria for product logistics.
  • Managing key metrics to ensure warehouse providers add value to the TMM service.
  • Planning warehouse capacity for offsite warehouses.
  • Identifying and addressing non-performing products regarding their storage profile.
  • Utilizing SAP for efficient and accurate ordering.
  • Establishing reliable and efficient supply routes for opportunities in new territories.
  • Implementing innovative logistics approaches, such as consolidated shipping vs. direct shipping, for cost efficiencies.
  • Coordinating and managing activities with the freight management team.
  • Recording and implementing cost improvement plans (CIP) and cost avoidance initiatives.
  • Contributing to the SCQI (Supply Chain Quality Improvement) roadmap.
  • Ensuring quality management of suppliers and assisting with TMM lite suppliers.
  • Acting as the point of contact for all planning-related queries from customers.
  • Owning, driving, and developing TMM planning software to meet business needs, including planning and project management for upgrades.
