Osborne Executive Search are partnering with our client, a leading provider of specialist building products, who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee their operations in Dublin. This is a critical role for the business that requires strong operational management skills and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Distribution Operation, collaborating with Branch, Warehouse, and Transport leadership teams to ensure the delivery of a best-in-class Distribution Service.
Ensure that the collect customer experience on-site exceeds customers' expectations.
Drive performance within the warehouse and transport teams through effective management of Managers and Supervisors.
Maintain and uphold the highest standards of Health and Safety, fostering a safe working environment for all employees.
Identify and implement opportunities to optimize stock, warehousing, and logistics management, enhancing customer service and operational efficiency.
Develop and nurture a high-performing team that consistently delivers high standards of service to both internal and external customers.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, SLAs, and KPIs within budgetary constraints.
Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives related to warehousing and transport.
Collaborate with sales colleagues and customers to swiftly and efficiently address any issues that arise.
Support the Operations Director in the strategic development of the wider operations network.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar operational management role.
A degree and/or technical qualification in a relevant discipline.
Proven experience in managing a supply chain function, driving cultural change, and delivering successful projects.
End-to-end experience in implementing and managing a Warehouse Management System.
Demonstrated ability to support, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
Strong customer focus with a commitment to quality, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence others to achieve desired results.
Capable of thriving in a high-pressure environment.
Highly organized with a focus on continuous process development to achieve best-in-class delivery.
Self-starter with a proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
Capable of making challenging decisions and implementing them effectively.
