We are currently looking to hire a HR Generalist for our client based in Dublin.
The HR Generalist will report to the HR Service Partner for Retail who in turn reports into the Head of HR. The HR Generalist works closely with two other HR Generalists, HR Administrator as well as the wider 12-person HR team.
The HR Generalists role will revolve around: Recruitment, Induction, Probation and Performance, Policies and Procedures, Employee Relations, Disciplinary and investigation support, and Renumerations and Compensation Committee (RemCom).
The post holder is expected to operate with considerable autonomy.
The nature of matters referred upwards are those:
Where significant resistance is experienced in the development of good practice and implementation of policy.
Where practice or proposed practice places stakeholders in a position of risk e.g. a child, a vulnerable adult, members, volunteers, the reputation of the Society.
Where decision will have a significant impact on the workload of others.
Breaches of Policies and Procedures.
Serious incidents.
Action by third parties.
Where significant resistance is experienced in the delivery of the Project and agreed processes.
Where decisions potentially impact on others in the Society.
Action likely to adversely affect the Society.
SAR or other GDPR issues.
Education:
Educated to degree level in HR or a related area – essential
CIPD Membership desirable
Knowledge:
HR best practice.
Knowledge of recruitment practices.
Good working knowledge of employment legislation in Ireland is desirable.
Experience:
At least 3+ years in a similar role is essential across all major functions to include but not limited to employee relations, recruitment & selection, employee development, performance management, communications, and compensation & benefits is essential.
Proven experience of the recruitment cycle with high volume recruitment.
Experience of working in HR in the not-for-profit sector a distinct advantage.
Experience of working in HR in retail sector another distinct advantage.
Proven experience of payroll administration.
Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders and providing excellent customer service to them.
