I am currently recruiting for our Government Agency client based in Dublin 1 for a Finance Reporting Manager. This is a fulltime permanent position which offer a hybrid working model time role. This role will be within the Finance Technology and Operations team, reporting to the Senior Finance Reporting Manager. The successful candidate will be a Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with four years post qualification experience and financial reporting experience gained in a financial reporting role. Duties & Responsibilities:
Management of the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting process for the Administration Account and the State Claims Agency.
Support the Senior Finance Manager with the preparation of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Assist with the production of high quality annual financial statements for the (and related entities) in accordance with FRS 102 in line with year-end deadlines.
Act as key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
Ensure that finance and business partnering relationships are maintained and enhanced with the business units and corporate functions.
Leadership and development of the financial reporting team in conjunction with the Senior Finance Manager, including management of performance and skills for a team of 3 direct reports.
Drives continuous process improvements within the financial reporting team.
Responsible for billing and recovery of costs from NAMA, SBCI, HBFI and ISIF.
Assist the Senior Finance Manager with the preparation and reporting of responses to relevant parliamentary questions and Freedom of Information requests.
Works closely with other teams within Finance particularly Finance Operations on day-to-day operations and projects.
Leads/participates in key finance and corporate projects as required.
Ad hoc reporting and other associated duties.
Experience & Skills:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with four years post qualification experience.
Experience in reviewing and managing the work of others
Extensive financial reporting experience gained in a financial reporting role.
Strong attention to detail
Analytical with good problem-solving skills
A positive outlook and a can-do attitude are essential
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to easily form good working relationships with team members and senior stakeholders alike
An ability to initiate change and be adaptive to changing circumstances.
Knowledge:
Detailed knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in other Microsoft packages
Knowledge of financial systems (e.g. general ledger, P2P, staff expenses) would be advantageous. In particular, experience using any of the named systems would be welcomed: SunSystems, Real Asset Management
