Fund Accountant – 2 Year Contract At Osborne we are currently recruiting for our Government Agency client for a Fund Accountant. This role is based in Dublin 1 with hybrid working option (2 days per week in the office). This is a 2-year contract role with full time hours. This role will be within the Finance Technology and Operations team, reporting to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will have a Third level qualification preferably in Finance or Accounting and comes with at least 2 years’ relevant experience in financial services or in the banking sector is advantageous. Principal Accountabilities Operations
Administration of ISIF investments ensuring payment and settlement of ISIF investments are made on a timely basis and in line with agreed procedures.
Daily cash management including monitoring and instructing cash transfers and foreign exchange (fx) trades with the Global Custodian.
Preparation of trade and accounting instructions to the Global Custodian.
Reconciliations of Global Custodian records.
ISIF Portfolio Management System
Maintenance of the ISIF portfolio management system including posting of daily transactions and valuations.
Reconciliation of the daily Net Asset Values produced by the ISIF Portfolio Management System.
Investigate and rectify any reconciling differences.
Support the implementation of phase 2 of the ISIF Portfolio Management System.
Management Reporting
Preparation of daily and monthly management reporting.
Other tasks
Document and update processes, procedures and controls.
Liaise with internal and external auditors.
Experience
Third level qualification preferably in Finance or Accounting.
At least 2 years’ relevant experience in financial services or in the banking sector is advantageous.
Skills
Ability to adapt quickly to the role and demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to easily form good working relationships with team members.
A self-starter willing to take the initiative to get results.

Knowledge
Understanding of investment securities and transactions such as equities, bonds, funds, derivatives etc. would be advantageous.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in other Microsoft Packages.
Knowledge of general ledger applications (in particular Infor SunSystems) would be advantageous.
