Finance Assistant – Dublin 1  

Our client in the not for profit sector are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent full-time basis. This role will be fully office based in Dublin 1.  
This role will see you reporting to the Head of Finance.  
This is an excellent opportunity for a focused, engaging and highly driven individual to join this finance department.  

Salary:  

  • €35-40,000 DOE  

Requirements:  

  • Assisting in managing the Creditors Ledger with suppliers at present, including booking invoices and payments to the accounting system.  
  • Ensure financial practices and procedures are correctly implemented in line with Company policies.  
  • Demonstrable an up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation.  
  • Undergo training/certification when necessary.  
  • Support and assist the Finance & HR team when appropriate.  
  • Assisting in maintaining petty cash systems.  
  • Assisting with payroll. 

The role holder:  

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting environment.  
  • A minimum of an Accounting Technician Qualification or equivalent.  
  • Experience/proficiency with TASbooks Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel.  
  • Experience with petty cash systems.  
  • Excellent IT skills are essential (as the payroll system will be linked to a time recording system and banking on-line going forward).  
  • Excellent Communicator  
  • Experience in the Not-for-profit Sector is desirable.
  • Knowledge of funding applications and dealing with state agencies is desirable
