We here at Osborne have partnered with a major Irish company who are looking for a Signalling and Systems Lead to join their team to lead and manage the role from the front. We are seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Signalling and Systems Lead.  This is an exciting opportunity that comes at a time when the organisation continues to develop and grow.  The successful candidate will report to the Head of PMO & Systems Team Lead and will have the responsibility to assist in the delivery of capital projects, act as a focus for safety, ensure all projects are properly organised and processed, to manage, control and coordinated projects, to ensure strong communication with all colleagues.
The role will be based in Dublin and the person should have a minimum of 5 years project engineering experience in engineering or similar multi-disciplinary engineering environment, a good understanding of major engineering discipline interfaces with strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
You should have an Engineering degree in a relevant discipline, knowledge of the Construction Regulations and experience and understanding of Safety Assurance processes.

Key Qualities:
Essential:

  • Recognised academic & practical qualification to demonstrate competence in the necessary technical skills and experience.
  • Member of Engineers Ireland or other relevant professional body.
  • Minimum of 5 years project engineering experience in engineering or similar multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
  • Relevant project engineering experience for projects of a similar complexity.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage engineering process and associated issues.
  • A good working knowledge of signalling system.
  • A good understanding of major engineering discipline interfaces.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communicator.

 
Desirable:

  • An Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Chartered status.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and operations.
  • Knowledge of the Construction Regulations.
  • Experience and understanding of Safety Assurance processes.
