Financial Controller Cork

Our client, a leading manufacturing and construction business based in Cork, are seeking a Financial Controller to lead their Finance Team. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, ideally with industry experience in manufacturing & construction, knowledge and experience of UK taxation is a strong advantage.
This is an exciting position that provides plenty of scope to grow within the role. The successful candidate will be offered an attractive salary based on experience, qualifications, and industry knowledge.

Salary:

  • €80K

Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day financial activities of the business including bank, balance sheet reconciliations and compliance.
  • Setting and monitoring targets while keeping an eye on the performance of company departments to ensure they meet their set goals.
  • Cost Accounting for manufacturing facility.
  • Monthly Accounts preparation, to include financial management.
  • Financial budgeting & forecasting preparation.
  • Preparation and presentation of key financial information to senior management.
  • Control & Analysis of payroll
  • Cost control of business operations
  • Co-ordinate annual audit process for Irish & UK entities
  • Control, guide & support bookkeeping to ensure effective running of operations.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA
  • 5 years + experience in similar role.
  • Experience working in a construction environment would be an advantage
  • Strong IT skills, in particular- advanced excel skills
  • Experience in working with SAP, Business Central,  Xero, Sage lin50, quick-books, or similar package.
  • Ability to work on own initiative & meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage effectively.
  • Problem solve & achieve targets
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
