Our client is currently looking for Pension Consultants on both a junior and senior level for their professional services company. This company specializes in employee benefits consultancy and private wealth management and currently manages occupational pension schemes for over 300 companies.
This recruitment is needed due to the company’s growth and expansion plans.
The successful candidates will demonstrate a strong knowledge of the pensions industry. In addition, they will have a sound understanding of the relevant legislation, regulations and best practices.
Junior Pension Consultants will be required to provide support to Senior Pension Consultants, while gaining a thorough understanding of the industry. Key responsibilities will include:
                 

  • Relationship management of a portfolio of corporate clients.
  • Ensuring an effective and compliant governance structure across the portfolio.
  • Handling queries from client companies, trustees, scheme members and other scheme contacts (e.g. Accountants, Investment Managers etc).
  • Preparation for and presentation at client, trustee and member meetings.
  • Scheme design and restructuring exercises and implementation of agreed changes, benefits, etc.
  • Developing and implementing retirement and member engagement programmes.
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary team in delivering services to clients.

  
 The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:  

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Client / Portfolio Management experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a strong team player.
  • A thorough understanding of the relevant underlying pensions legislation and the regulatory environment.
  • Hold QFA or IIPM qualifications.
  • Hold a full & clean driving licence.
