Project Manager

This is an exciting time to join a growing company.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will play a central role in the business development of the business in Ireland and the UK.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables
  • Liaise with the various internal and external stakeholders on the projects to ensure clear communication between all parties
  • Responsible for project resourcing requirements, monitoring, and attainment throughout the project lifecycle
  • Development of detailed Project Plans including EHS requirements in order to align the stakeholders and team members
  • Responsibility for direct supervision of vendor engineers and contractors during engineering works on managed projects.
  • Provide proactive technical expertise in developing and managing solutions to support project delivery.
  • Manage and communicate the overall financial performance of engineering projects, including cash flow, life cycle costs, variations, billing, terms
  • Manage variations to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes to facilitate customer acceptance
  • Manage complete day to day life-cycle of project from initial stages through to hand-over
  • Meet agreed objectives in the areas of timely delivery, cost, quality and client satisfaction
  • Attending regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress
  • Assist in negotiation with equipment suppliers
  • Escalate any issues or concerns with the projects to the Engineering Manager or senior management team as required
  • Build up technical knowledge of refrigeration specifications and solutions in order to provide a level of technical advice when attending site meetings
  • Manage and develop key supplier relationships
  • Maintain a safe working environment by continuously promoting safety awareness
  • Participate in tender preparation as required
  • Ensure all document control and change control requirements are continuously adhered to
  • Understand Risk management and action plans to mitigate risk
  • Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise

Skills Education:

  • Qualification in Construction, Engineering or similar discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience leading projects
  • Project Management experience is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong MS Office skills – familiar with MS Project or similar package desirable
  • Excellent team player.
  • Good ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ability to read CAD drawings
