This is an exciting time to join a growing company. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will play a central role in the business development of the business in Ireland and the UK.
Role & Responsibilities:
Evaluation of customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables
Liaise with the various internal and external stakeholders on the projects to ensure clear communication between all parties
Responsible for project resourcing requirements, monitoring, and attainment throughout the project lifecycle
Development of detailed Project Plans including EHS requirements in order to align the stakeholders and team members
Responsibility for direct supervision of vendor engineers and contractors during engineering works on managed projects.
Provide proactive technical expertise in developing and managing solutions to support project delivery.
Manage and communicate the overall financial performance of engineering projects, including cash flow, life cycle costs, variations, billing, terms
Manage variations to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes to facilitate customer acceptance
Manage complete day to day life-cycle of project from initial stages through to hand-over
Meet agreed objectives in the areas of timely delivery, cost, quality and client satisfaction
Attending regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress
Assist in negotiation with equipment suppliers
Escalate any issues or concerns with the projects to the Engineering Manager or senior management team as required
Build up technical knowledge of refrigeration specifications and solutions in order to provide a level of technical advice when attending site meetings
Manage and develop key supplier relationships
Maintain a safe working environment by continuously promoting safety awareness
Participate in tender preparation as required
Ensure all document control and change control requirements are continuously adhered to
Understand Risk management and action plans to mitigate risk
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
Skills Education:
Qualification in Construction, Engineering or similar discipline
Minimum 5+ years’ experience leading projects
Project Management experience is essential.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong MS Office skills – familiar with MS Project or similar package desirable
Excellent team player.
Good ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Ability to read CAD drawings
