The client is one of Europe’s leading mechanical engineering companies specialising in the design, manufacture, and site installation of high-quality steel fabrications. They provide products and services to the Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, Oil & Gas, Industrial Manufacturing, Power Generation/Utilities and Semiconductor industries. HR Manager – 12 Month FTC
View to Permanency
Location: Waterford
Job Requirements:
Recruitment – job specification, advertising, liaison with employment agencies, screening of CVs
Ensuring that leave allowances are correctly applied and documented (sick leave, time off in-lieu, paternity, maternity etc.).
Training – standard induction for new employees and helping managers understand their HR responsibilities, new employment regulations and policies and use of TMS system. Ensuring all training records are updated and in-date.
Disciplinary and grievance matters – managing and advising on disciplinary and grievance processes, liaising on difficult matters and ensuring that appropriate solutions are implemented. Supporting Managers in this process.
Assist line managers with employee review processes, such as pay rises, benefit packages and promotions.
Conducting exit interviews.
Working closely with Health & Safety Officer on H&S issues, accidents, HR related risk assessments.
Preparing and facilitating any HR related audits
Any other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
Relevant third level qualifications are beneficial.
In depth knowledge of Irish employment law principles and policies.
Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a similar sector.
Proven track record of managing disciplinary issues.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Confident to work independently without supervision.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
