Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company are seeking a Finance Manager who will be based in West Dublin, with a hybrid working model. Reporting to, and working closely with, the Senior Manager in Accounting, in this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of certain global accounting activities for various entities. In addition, you will develop an understanding of the strategic business direction and play a key role in the future development of the function in order to meet the needs of a growing and changing business. This will encompass both organizational development and exploitation of opportunities offered by existing and new information technologies. Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of regional accounting activities for assigned region/entities, including performing timely month end, quarter end and year end closing activities in both QAD and SAP; responsible for the close in accordance with US GAAP, including month-end close activities for revenue, cash, prepaids, tangible and intangible assets, accruals and debt
Reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance
Liaison with financial planning team to understand changes in financial performance
Lead and mentor a team of professional accountants
Ensure that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Report agreed key performance indicators
Acquisitions: Support integration into financial operations
Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 7+ years of PQE experience with a minimum of 3 years of management experience
Qualified accountant i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA
Experience in IFRS; Europe Local GAAP strongly desired
Previous Shared Service Centre with multinational publicly quoted company experience
Working knowledge of US GAAP
Proficient in SAP or similar ERP
Experience of QAD and BI tools an advantage
Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams
Excellent communication and leadership skills i.e. ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of region, division and corporate functions
