We are currently hiring for one of Ireland’s best-known and respected providers of Employment Law, Industrial Relations (IR) and best practice Human Resource Management. We are looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Senior HR Practitioner with Strategic HR expertise to join the consulting practice. 
Working as a Consultant within our experienced team, the role of Senior Employee Relations/Industrial Relations Consultant will focus on managing and leading out on a range of complex ER/ IR issues and supporting our extensive client base with solutions focused employee relations and industrial relations advice across a range of key sectors. This role also provides for the opportunity to work on a diverse range of ER and IR projects across multiple sectors.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Leading out on complex workplace investigations involving disciplinary, grievance, bullying, harassment, and sexual harassment matters.
  • Representation at third parties such as the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court providing effective supports to key stakeholders under employment legislation.
  • Engaging with and supporting external stakeholders in the delivery of organisational change programmes including collective redundancies and TUPE.
  • Management of industrial relations disputes with key stakeholders and external agencies. 
  • Providing proactive ER/ IR guidance and support and managing complex employee relations issues.
  • Delivering a variety of ER/IR consulting work for key clients in line with a pre-agreed proposal, budget, and timeframes.
  • Delivering key employment law training programmes – Fundamentals of Employment Law; Conducting Disciplinaries and Grievances. 
  • Delivering the effective provision of ER/ IR supports to a portfolio of clients across a diverse range of sectors, providing technical expertise and specialist advice on a broad range of HR and Employment issues.
  • Providing proactive ER/IR guidance and support and managing complex employee relations issues.
  • Maintaining documentation and preparing reports as required to ensure compliance and support the effective conclusion of employee relations issues.
  • Contributing as a team member to support your colleagues across a range of ER/IR initiatives.
  • Keeping clients up to date with employment legislation and best practice employee relations.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree or master’s qualification in HR/ Law or related discipline
  • CIPD qualification
  • Ideally Post-graduate qualification in Employment Law/ Conflict Resolution and/or MBA
Experience:
  • At least 8 years relevant employment law, employee relations and/or industrial relations experience within a busy ER/IR/ legal environment or HR consulting practice 
  • Exposure to a broad range of employee / industrial relations issues
  • Extensive professional experience in Irish employment law, HR, employee relations and industrial relations issues and practices
  • Demonstrated success in facilitating change, solid problem solving, excellent facilitation and analytical skills.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full clean driving license, access to a car and ability to travel.
