Description:

HVAC Engineer / Service Manager

We are looking to hire an experienced HVAC Engineer / Service Manager to join our company based in Waterford.
The successful candidate will have experience in both mechanical and electrical with a strong understanding of an automated environment.
This is a hands on multi-skilled role, and you must be willing to work in a cold environment for our client partners.

Salary: €50,000.

The Role:

The HVAC Engineer / Service Manager are required to carry out maintenance and repair of the following equipment.

  • Water chillers
  • Cold rooms/Freezer rooms
  • Ultra low freezers (-80 degrees)
  • Stability rooms
  • De-Humidifiers (Drying the air)
  • HVAC, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Hot water and heating system.
  • Electrical Switchgear.
  • Variable speed drives.
  • Systems – SCADA and PLC/Server driven systems.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Strong mechanical background.
  • Electrical background – ability to use multi meter and troubleshoot electrical faults.
  • Ability to read both electrical and mechanical schematic drawings
  • Ability to weld is an advantage.
  • Refrigeration, Trades/Diploma qualifications required.
  • Good team player and self-motivated.
  • Available for call out duties and / or overtime when required.
  • Good understanding of BMS
  • Strong understanding of an automated environment
