We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fully Qualified Accountant to join a prestigious accountancy firm based in Arklow Town. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional accounting and financial services to clients. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting support to clients.
  • Conduct financial audits and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Offer guidance and support to junior staff members, assisting in their professional development.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with timely and accurate financial information and advice.
  • Assist in the preparation of business plans, financial models, and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as tax advisors and auditors, to deliver comprehensive financial services.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) with 3-5 years of experience in an accountancy firm or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Continuous learning mindset with a willingness to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
