Supply Chain Manager/Purchasing Manager/Inventory Manager-pharma

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established pharmaceutical sector company based in Dublin is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager/Purchasing Manager/Inventory Manager to join their operations.

The role will involve management of the supply chain between the company and suppliers. The aim will be to lead the Procurement team and manage the procurement product lines from multiple suppliers into several distribution sites across the UK & IRL in a regulated and GDP compliant supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for controlling and maintaining stock accuracy and monitoring variancy; managing ERP System accuracy.

· Preparation of forecasts for optimisation of procurement process and contributing to efficient working capital expenditure.

· Management of inbound freight services in accordance with local Custom / Import Regulations & GDP

· To lead and develop the capabilities of the procurement and purchasing function

· Overseeing the setting and managing of stock levels appropriate to the business.

· Liaising with the sales teams and suppliers, to ensure a high standard of service to customers is maintained.

· Co-ordination of new product set-up in line with SOPs and procedures

· Overseeing KPI reporting and vendor management on a monthly and ad-hoc basis

· Ensuring product recalls are managed appropriately in line with SOPs

· Ad hoc duties as directed by the operations director

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

· A third level qualification in Logistics, , Purchasing, Business administration, Purchasing or similar is desirable

· At least 3 years supervisory and/or management experience within a procurement / logistics / supply chain function

· Experience in GDP/GMP environment is desirable.

· Experience of the Pharmaceutical/hospital/healthcare supply chain would be an advantage.

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, with SAP, Oracle, or JDE experience desirable.

· Pleasant, confident manner and good verbal and written communications skills.
